M9 Marginal Youth Ministry
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
Matthew 9:35-36
Trendy Activities for Youth
Reaching marginalized youth through trendy activities.
Gaming Competition
Socially withdrawn youth by definition is hard to reach…….. except through gaming. While gaming can be addictive, given a healthy environment, team competition can enlarge the youth’s social space and cultivate friendships. Our gaming program encourage good communication skills, and build positive attitudes. Our first competition in August was joined by 30. After the competition, we will set up several small chat groups to maintain interaction with them.
Drum Class
The joy that comes from the rhythmic pounding and tapping. It's only when you sit behind the drum set and strike out the rhythms that you can truly feel the captivating power and impact of drumming. This can help marginalized youth develop focus, boost self-confidence, and release or alleviate negative emotions.
K-POP Dance Class
For youth who love dancing, allowing students to get to know K-Pop through upbeat dance routines. Our Christian dance coach guide participants on dance techniques. Each class includes: stretching, warmup, choreography learning, and practice.
Cooking class
The pastry or dessert-making class engage marginalized youth who have an interest in cooking. By understanding their preferences, the instructors can tailor the teaching to the specific dishes they enjoy. This approach helps boost the students' self-confidence and strengthen their sense of self-identity. It also provides a foundational skillset that can assist them in finding future employment. 18 came to the class and they all want more!
M9 Youths Halfway House
M9 Ministry has been in contact with numerous at-risk youths who, due to family changes and issues of domestic violence, require relocation from their homes.
Our co-workers are stationed in the house, which currently accommodates four male youths. The weekly gatherings and training sessions now have an attendance of 10 individuals. We strongly believe that these youths, who have previously engaged in drug dealing, theft, fighting, and using vulgar language, can experience a transformation in their lives through the power of God.

Discipleship
M9’s discipleship training is to live out in practice. In addition to Bible study and cell groups, they also learn through engaging in evangelistic activities, serving the poor in the community, caring for newcomers, and participating in short-term missions.
